I learned in the checkout-line headlines yesterday that J. Lo. recently had a baby shower ... a high tea! Naturally I had to read the story and found out that my own tea party shower was far superior to hers :) They had mini hamburgers and green apple martinis ... doesn't even start to compare to this amazing spread of mini sandwiches and individually crafted (and delicious, I must say) tiny treats. Here's a picture - and a belated thanks especially to Pam, Marissa, Eduardo, my mom and Aunt Margaret for hosting such a lovely party - and to Joe, the waiter with a bow-tie :)

Hollywood stars ... a step behind

Hey, did you ever hear who came up with the idea??? :) Actually, I give Amy the credit, since she had one for her baby shower and loved it.
oh you win! - I didn't know that was originally your idea - it was a great one - so I add a special thanks to Tia for the idea and the help planning (and for showing up!)

And to all of the lovely chefs, everything was delicious! Definitely the best tea party hands down.
Your shower was far more impressive and certainly the food more delicious than J. Lo's.

oh oops - I guess I'm not a very reliable link in the SMA chain ;) - and my clay lady is not an adequate substitute for a belly picture, huh? Eduardo, where is your imagination!?! (I'll work on getting a photo.)
